    My journey into yoga began about four years ago, as a moment in time where I could step away from the chaos in my life. Practising gentle yoga and meditation helped me feel calm, and find my own little safe space. I think I was trying everything I could to bring my nervous system back to balance, because every day felt like a battle that I couldn’t escape.     Finding the way of tea

    Taking time for tea is one of my favourite relaxing routines within each day. At bedtime, on waking, to find a few moments between tasks. It always gives me a little bit of space to stop. When I visited Japan, I experienced a tea ceremony for the first time. Walking through a beautiful park in Tokyo, we crossed a little wooden bridge to enter a teahouse. It was so calming to sit on the floor and watch the ritual. I remember walking outside and looking out over the water afterwards, skyscrapers in the background, feeling at peace.     First post: singing my whale song

    One of our teachers on my yoga teacher training said the best way to find your people is to go out there and sing your whale song. With my new website and these blogs, I’m starting to sing my own whale song in a way. This reminded me of a story about a lonely whale, from a podcast I listened to recently. Marine biologists have been following this whale by detecting ocean sounds, using a device called a hydrophone. His song is unique and a little different to most whale songs.
